Ms. Buckley has over 30 years of experience in international law and business, representing both U.S. and non-U.S.-based companies. Prior to joining Loyola, Ms. Buckley spent 17 years as a shareholder with the Corporate Department of Vedder Price P.C., an AmLaw 200 law firm. She previously practiced corporate law with Katten Muchin Rosenman and Kelley Drye & Warren in New York and Chicago and served as Antitrust Counsel for Borg-Warner Corporation in Chicago and as Assistant Corporate Secretary for Borg-Warner Automotive, Inc. in Troy, Michigan. She taught for many years as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law and at Northwestern University as a lecturer.

Ms. Buckley is very active with the American Bar Association (ABA), a voluntary professional organization of over 400,000 members. She sat on the ABA’s Commission on Women in the Profession, and now serves as the ABA International Law Section’s Liaison to the Commission. Ms. Buckley chaired the 24,000-member International Law Section and represented the ABA International Law Section in the ABA House of Delegates for six years. She served for a number of years on the ABA Commission on Immigration and the Working Group on Unaccompanied Immigrant Children. She has chaired the International Bar Association’s Immigration and Nationality Committee and the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association’s International Law Committees. She served on the board of the Federal Bar Association, Chicago Chapter, and is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Ms. Buckley serves and has served on the boards and chaired numerous non-profit organizations’ boards throughout her career, including the Chicago Chapter of the United Nations Association, the U.S.-India Chamber of Commerce, and WorldChicago. Ms. Buckley attended Mundelein College and Konan University (Kobe, Japan) for her undergraduate studies, and received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. She holds an AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell and is ranked in Chambers Global.
