Lena was born and raised in Sweden, and she left to live abroad 27 years ago. She has been fortunate to live in 10 different countries and is grateful for all cultural experiences gathered during that time. For the past 10 years, her family has lived in Chicago, which she is happy to call her new home! She deeply values the Swedish community in Chicago and is proud to be part of both SACC and SWEA. She is serving for her second term on the board of SWEA Chicago; she is currently the secretary and formerly was involved in organizing events.
Lena is a Realtor at the Dorger McCarthy Group whose core values are Service, Integrity and Passion. Real estate is Lena’s passion, and she takes pride in each transaction and the strong relationships she creates with her clients. Helping the community is important for the Dorger McCarthy Group, who annually has several events supporting different groups in our society. The biggest event is the annual “Boots for Babes” where new boots are collected for students in need at The McCutcheon Elementary School in Uptown, Chicago.
Previous to real estate Lena worked for 10 years as a retail manager, which gave her valuable experience in management, customer service and business planning. She earned a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Lena would be honored to be part of SACC Chicago’s board 2024. She is excited to contribute and make it a successful year for SACC Chicago. Furthermore, she would like to strengthen the ties between SACC and SWEA.
